The figure is the whole plan's, not the chance left from here: over every way the cards could lie, the share on which the best plan through that card guarantees the target — the cards played fixed, the branches you did not take left open. So a card never reads above the line's first figure, and one that throws the plan away reads 0%.
An entry is counted each time the lead has to change hands after a trick you won; the first lead, and the lead after a trick the defenders won, are free from either hand.
