A cover that gains you nothing
Ace opposite queen-jack. This time the honour you might run is supported, so a cover doesn't hurt you. Running it is still a mistake.
Count what you are playing for. The queen and the jack facing the ace are already two tricks unless the suit breaks very badly. Running the queen can't add a trick, and it loses one when East holds the king.
