Cashing first, when you can afford to
Ace, king, jack, five opposite three small. The queen is missing again, and this time there is a real finesse, because the jack has the ace and king behind it.
You only need three of the four tricks. That slack is worth something: you can look for the queen to fall first, and still take the finesse afterwards if it does not.
