Leading toward honours
Step 4 of 4
Not the queen, and not from dummy either
Ace, jack, ten, three opposite queen and two small. The king is missing. There is a card here it is very tempting to run, and running it costs you the whole suit.
One more thing starts to count from here on. Reaching dummy costs something at a real table, and a line that spends two crossings where one would do is a worse line even when the odds are identical. Lead from your own hand.
Take 4 tricks.
Play a card from either hand. Play the line you would play — nothing here is scored, and you can start the suit again whenever you like.
